The Open Evening 2013
We decided to hold two open evenings in January this year, the first was a 'preview' evening to all our wonderful couples already holding their wedding at the Lodge and the second as an open invite to any new couples who were looking for their perfect wedding venue.
We wanted a relaxed, elegant evening with only the best of our wedding friends on hand to help and inspire the brides and grooms.
When it came to photographers we have known Jonny Draper from the beginning and he is one of the very best (he also just won Best North West Photographer at the Wedding Industry Awards!) so we asked him come along to meet some of our couples and to take some stunning photos of course!
He didn't disappoint and this post features all Jonny's photo's from the evening.
Also on hand were our three spectacular caterers: Barretts, Pink Pepper and Top Table.
All experts in their skills and talents we are lucky to work with such great people. It's a hard choice for our couples!
The bridal room was transformed into a 'pop up' of LOVE Bridal Boutique owned by the lovely Emma Draper (other half to Jonny Draper - what a wedding team!) Emma showcased some of her beautiful dresses, shoes and accessories...serious bridal heaven!
Laura Simpson from Laurel Weddings was there to show her wonderful floral arrangements for center pieces and bouquets. It was great to have such a talented and creative florist for couples to meet and speak to, she is full of so many ideas and has worked with us at the Lodge for a while so knows the venue well which is great.
Emma from Special Days displayed some of her brillant venue dressing ideas from hanging lanterns and hearts to alternative center pieces. Emma is so clever at looking at new trends and working around all budgets to come up with ideas that couples love.
The Gypsies of Bohemia are simply fantastic they provided us with great music all evening, something different and enjoyed by all.

Stunning decorations and sitting arrangements. Heard a lot about event venues from my friends and planning to book one for my sister's surprise birthday party. Will invite all her friends and colleagues. Dinner and desserts will be ordered from menu at the same time covering the taste preferences of all guests. Hope Veronica feels special.
